We all know how irritating it is when your phone stops working in the middle of a conversation or when you are replaying a video game and you are being attacked! Obviously you cannot expect your phone to be as fast as it was when you bought it. But certain ways can make your phone faster. Here are few ways that can make your Android device work faster
RESTART YOUR PHONE
Although this may seem a very childish and simplest way to speed up your device, it is actually very helpful. What happens when you restart your phone? Basically your phone might be lagging because you may have opened multiple tabs or you might have not closed them. This causes your phone to lag! When you restart you are actually deleting the RAM (Radom Access memory). All the functions will be closed when your phone restarts. It’s like refreshing your phone!
DELETE CACHED DATA
First off all, what is cached data? Caching is actually a process that your phone undergoes without you actually knowing it. What happens is when you open a file, your phone temporarily saves multiple copies of the file. Don’t worry this is totally safe. Your phone does this so that when later you will access the file, the process happens faster. It is also okay to delete cached data. Mainly you are not deleting the original file just the copies of it. You can for this by going into settings. Choose an app you wish to delete cached data of.

TURN OFF AUTO-SYNC
Many of us have auto sync turned on. Auto sync is basically a way to store all the messages, files, photos, videos, emails etc. in your Google account. Although this is not necessary for all the apps. This uses your batter and data and lags your phone to some extent. What you can do is turn off auto sync for selected apps.
CLEAR THE HOME SCREEN
Now you might what does my home screen have to do with my phone’s lagging? Well the answer is because you might have lot of functions going on, on your home screen. If you are a person who has widgets, animated wallpaper, shortcuts to music and contact or websites, or weather forecast then your phone could be lagging because of this. All these functions and working in the background. What you can do is clear your home screen and keep only vital apps on it like contacts, camera or web browser.

UPDATE YOUR PHONE
Your phone once in a while asks you to update the phone. This is because a new software is supposed to be installed in the device. An update means your phone might be able to do new functions than earlier. Updating your phone might stop the device from lagging. Normally an update takes 10 to 15 minutes of your time. When that happens your phone is automatically switched off so you can no longer use it. But you can choose the time of your convenience. You can download the update an schedule it to install later!
ZIP UNUSED APPS
There are many apps that we ought to use once in a while but we still have them. This just uses up your space and data for no reason and causes your phone to lag. Your phone sends a notification that certain app is not being used and would you like to zip it. Zipping apps is basically making them inactive. The apps no longer uses your data and lot of space and does not send you any notification. You can unzip the all use it and zip it again. Or you can just uninstall the app you no longer use.
FREE UP YOUR PHONE STORAGE
Your phone storage affects the working of your phone on large basis. If you have a lot of storage space occupied then that interferes with the other functions of your phone. What you can do is delete unnecessary images, videos, old documents and files. Especially videos take up more space. You can also use Files app by Google to help you sort your space!
USE LITE VERSIONS OF YOUR APPS
All of your social media apps need their own space. And when you use it, over a period of time the data in those apps also need space. They use up your phone storage which infect causes your phone to lag. Instead you can use Lite versions of your apps. Google play store has lite version for all the apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Snapchat. Using Lite version helps you save space and use less data!

FACTORY RESET
Your very last option would be to do a factory reset. Factory reset is basically deleting all of the data from your phone. In simple words after resetting your phone will be as new as it was when you bought it. Although before you do a factory reset make sure all your data is backed up on your Google account. Once you reset you’ll lose all your photos, videos, messages, emails, audios etc. All these steps can surely make your Android work faster than before. But also make sure that you keep your electronic devices in good shape.
